A Bloomberg investigation reveals Taiwanese tech companies are helping Huawei build a secret chip network in China 2) With Taipei pledging to keep advanced tech from China's military, the previously unreported Taiwanese presence in Huawei’s efforts risks stirring the democratic island ahead of elections in January 3) The companies involved in Huawei's chip efforts include a reseller of chip materials, a TSMC supplier and subsidiaries of engineering and construction firms.
